A Malaysian Thai Buddhist Amulet often referred to academically as votive tablet is a kind of Malaysian Thai Buddhist blessed item. It is used for raising funds in order to help the temple in producing the amulets. Devotees can obtain an amulet or a Malaysian Thai Buddhist monk blessings by simply donating money or offering oil to the temple. After the donation has been made, the monk will give amulets to them as "gifts" and as a kind of sacred item to help enhance better luck in different aspects, such as better fortune, business enhancements, sudden windfall, improved social relationships, health, avoidance of danger, invulnerability...........

It is also a tradition to place amulets under the stupa or under the temple's structure when it is built. As years rolled by, at times the structure collapses.. some amulets are found. Some can be dated back over centuries.

Amulets are made using the Buddha images, or images of famous monks or even images of the monks who made the amulets themselves and let devotees wear for protection purposes. Amulets have different kinds of sizes, different shapes and made of different materials such as holy powders, metals, woods, clay, plasters, etc.. It may also include ashes of incenses, old temple structure, relics and hairs from famous monks to add protection to the amulets. After the amulets were made, the maker will then invite the monks from within the temple and/or monks from other temples to jointly consecrate and bless the amulets, this process may take from 7 days to as long as 3 years.

The price of amulets not only depends on it's appearance but on it's miraculous power, the maker (monk/arjans), scarcity, the year made and the classifications of it's magical abilities.

There are literally millions of editions from hundreds of thousands of temples, spanning centuries and it's not possible for one person to encompass enough knowledge to be able to authenticate every single edition. Hence, each expert has his own chosen line of amulets, from a particular Monk and/or Temple which he chooses to specialized in. For us we have decided to specialized in Amulets, Talismans, Buchas, Takruts & Other Items Made and Consecrated by only Monks from Malaysia, such as Tok Raja (Luang Phor Kron), Wat Uttamaram (Wat Bangsaek), Kelantan, his successors Chao Chan (2nd Abbot), Chao Khun Mit (3rd Abbor) and the present Abbot Phor Than Boon. Phor Than Dee, Wat SuwanKiri, Phor Than Thit, Wat Macchimaram. In Kedah, we carry amulets from Luang Phor Lindum (Phor Than Orr Chik), Wat Naka; Chao Khun Bao, Wat Kalai, Chao Khun Choy, Wat TiTi Akar..etc..
